Movie theater owners who attended 2025 CinemaCon were treated to the first trailer for Wicked: For Good before the rest of the world… but we’ve actually already seen footage from the second movie.
The first-ever trailer for Wicked debuted over a year ago during the 2024 Super Bowl and it featured footage from both films.
Now that we’ve seen the first movie, we can point out all of the moments in that trailer that were actually from the second movie.
Universal Pictures has announced that the second movie will be titled Wicked: For Good, a reference to the act two duet between Glinda and Elphaba when they see each other for the last time and sing about how they’ve been changed for the better because of their friendship. Part 2 will be released in theaters in November 2025.
