The star of the reality-TV show Ghost Adventures, Aaron Goodwin, has reportedly been the planned target for a “murder for hire” plot led by his wife, Victoria Goodwin, who has been accused of trying to hire a hitman.
Victoria Goodwin was arrested on Thursday, March 6, following charges of soliciting to commit murder and conspiring to commit murder, according to inmate records in Clark County, Nevada.
The wife of Ghost Adventures host Aaron Goodwin was held on a $100,000 bail, and Victoria is set to make her first appearance in court on Tuesday, 11th March.
TMZ reportedly obtained an arrest report that claimed Victoria had been in contact with a prison inmate in Florida about wishing to leave her marriage.
According to TMZ, one of the text messages allegedly read: “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”
The outlet also claimed that she provided information about where and when Aaron would be filming Ghost Adventures, alleging she’d set aside $11,515 to pay the alleged hitman and an initial payment of $2,500 had been discussed.
Another text from Victoria Goodwin about her Ghost Adventures husband Aaron to the inmate allegedly read: “He’s asleep right now in the hotel room … I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?”
Apparently, the police only learned about the alleged murder for hire plot after officers at the Florida prison found and seized the inmate’s phone.
Police told TMZ that Victoria has reportedly denied wanting to have her husband killed and alleged she didn’t remember sending any messages.
When she was asked about the messages, she claimed that she thought the money was for cell phones and admitted she and Aaron were experiencing some issues in their marriage.
Aaron reportedly told TMZ he was “blindsided ” by the news and had believed he and Victoria had been in a happy marriage since tying the knot in 2022.
His Ghost Adventures co-star Zak Bagans stated it was an “emotional time” for Aaron Goodwin, and he’s trying to support him whilst he processes what Victoria has been accused of.
