Why any couples would wilingly appear on Temptation Island is one of life’s most mysterious questions, but four couples have decided that appearing on the show is the best thing for their relationship.

Shanté and Brion
Shanté and Brion have only been dating for a year but are planning on starting a family together; however, after Brion cheated on her early on in their relationship, Shanté has been struggling to feel confident.
And why go to couples therapy when you could go on Temptation Island, as the pair seem convinced their connection will be “strengthened” by appearing on the show.
Brion told Tudum: “I want to learn how to be more patient in conversation and listen more,” with the couple hoping their time on the series will increase their communication skills.
Ashley and Grant
I swear, are there any men out of these Temptation Island couples who haven’t cheated on their girlfriend, as Grant’s infidelity early on in their relationship has given Ashley major trust issues, understandably.
Ashley wanted to go on Temptation Island in order to get back to her “carefree self” but isn’t expecting she’ll be tempted by other men, saying: “I am not easily tempted. When I am committed, I’m all in.”
Grant says he hopes appearing on Temptation Island will help show Ashley he’s a changed man, as he explained: “I have given into temptation in the past, but going into this experience, I feel ready to hold up to the temptation.”
Alexa and Lino
Alexa and Lino have been together for three years, but as Lino has never been with anyone else before Alex, he’s wondering whether there’s someone else out there who’s better suited for him.
Alexa hopes to discover her independence in the experiment, saying: “When you’re deeply in love, it’s easy to become codependent, and I believe this experience will help me assess whether I truly need Lino in my life or if it’s simply that I deeply want him to be in my life forever.”
Tayler and Tyler
I already know Tayler and Tyler are one of *those* couples, and Tyler thinks he’s the perfect candidate for Temptation Island, if there’s such a thing.
The two met under slightly murky circumstances as the pair started dating immediately after his six-year marriage ended. Yep.
He wants to work on understanding himself, saying: “I want to work on understanding myself better — what I need in a relationship, what I have to offer, and whether I am truly in a place to commit.
As for what Taylor wants out of Temptation Island, she explained: “I want my partner to use this experience as a way to find himself and from that place of self-discovery, confidently choose me as his partner.”
