This episode was nothing short of mind-blowing, giving us a glimpse of just how deep a predicament Senku is in. At first, the Kingdom of Science believed that nothing could be more dangerous than facing a gun-wielding enemy. Unfortunately, they were wrong. Just when they thought they had seen it all, the same adversary from before reappeared, this time arriving in a plane! And he doesn’t hesitate, opening fire relentlessly with lethal intent.
Senku had anticipated that other brilliant minds might figure out the revival fluid, but he wasn’t expecting to encounter someone so far ahead in scientific advancement. However, rather than being discouraged, he sees this as a challenge. In a moment of quick thinking, he produces acetylene gas, successfully forcing the enemy’s plane to retreat.
This move, while effective, also paints a target on his back. The enemy now knows that there’s a formidable scientist capable of countering their technology. But Senku doesn’t stop there. He takes an even riskier step by deciding to track down their ship and locate their base. To do this, he assembles a handpicked team, including Chrome, Kohaku, and the Kingdom of Science’s most cunning mentalist, Gen.

Dr Stone Season 4 Episode 5 Review And Recap
When Kohaku and Chrome try to send information to Senku, he swiftly tells them not to overshare as there is a high chance the enemy might be listening to their conversation. Thus, Senku and others themselves come to the conclusion that Gen might be pretending to be a friend of the enemies while infiltrating their base, which is exactly what has happened.
However, soon enough, Doctor Xeno contacts the Kingdom of Science directly. This segment was thrilling but also funny because Zeno addresses Doctor Taiju, comically shocking everyone. Here, we also get to know Doctor Xeno’s actual motive. Apparently, he can make bullets at the factory, meaning they have an endless supply of bullets in their arsenal, and they can attack Senku and his team anytime they want.
But here’s the twist. They do not have the means to actually de-petrify anyone. They only have the knowledge that anyone who was able to stay conscious for thousands of years was able to become human again with the help of nitric acid. Hence, because they deduce that the Kingdom of Science must have a solution to their problem, Doctor Xeno asks for a negotiation. Doctor Taiju will give up his secret of de-petrification and join hands with Doctor Xeno, while Doctor Xeno will let them live.
Doctor Taiju, or rather Senku, obviously does not agree with this and thus takes on a direct challenge from this mad scientist. The plan is clear, before the enemy strikes, you strike them back. But everything is easier said than done when your strongest weapon is now getting used against you. How Senku will be able to fight back against this enemy with the use of science while protecting himself from that said science is something that we will explore in the next episode.
Verdict
I absolutely loved this episode, and I cannot wait for more. Gen has definitely landed Taiju in a very weird predicament, as he will be targeted by the enemies. But strategically speaking, it is still better than Senku being in danger. Taiju is physically a lot stronger than Senku, and a decoy should be in place when the enemies are so much stronger.
