Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 6 Review: The 6th episode of Solo Leveling Season 2: Arise from the Shadow or Ore dake Level Up na Ken Season 2: Arise from the Shadow (俺だけレベルアップな件 Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-) was everything that makes this show good. Read ahead to find out more.
Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 5 Recap
This episode opens with an intriguing bit of foreshadowing as Haein and Jinwoo cross paths for the first time. Unlike her usual encounters with other hunters, where she’s repulsed by their scent, Jinwoo stands out for an unusual reason she can’t detect the typical foul odor on him. In fact, she even finds his scent pleasant. Jinwoo speculates that his status as a player, along with the system’s immunity perks, might be responsible for this anomaly.
However, this brief interaction is just the prelude to the real conflict. Jinwoo once again finds himself in a perilous dungeon, this time working as a porter for the second team of Haein’s guild. On the surface, the mission seems routine, with the team comprising skilled hunters leaving little cause for concern. But things take a drastic turn when it becomes evident that this dungeon is far more treacherous than expected.
The group soon encounters high orcs who are far stronger than anything they had anticipated. Jinwoo, who is well on his way to becoming an S-rank hunter, prefers to avoid unnecessary attention, so he lends his assistance discreetly. Even so, the battle only escalates, setting the stage for an even greater crisis.

Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 6 Review and Recap
This episode begins with Haein outside the dungeon, being awfully curious and suspicious about Jinwoo. Is he really just an E-ranked hunter, or there is more to him than he lets on? Thus, she decides to enter the dungeon herself for answers. However, back in the dungeon, things have taken a drastic turn. The orcs relay how they brought the human hunters to their court only to maim and kill them for entertainment. And when things get physical, Jinwoo has to interfere.
With Haein inside, the Hunter Association arrive to inquire about Jinwoo and face the severity of the situation. They find out that this dungeon has turned into a high A-ranked dungeon.
However, we all know what the highlight of this episode was. The fight between Jinwoo and the High Orcs was absolutely brilliant and hyped to the max. This was definitely not a very easy fight, as the level of Jinwoo’s soldiers was lower than the orc soldiers.
But, when you can create puppets in the blink of an eye like our protagonist, a fight like this should not be an issue. Jinwoo can easily kill one enemy, turn them into his warriors and make them fight in his stead.
There were many other things in this episode that were very important, like how the system again glitched when the king of the orcs addressed Jinwoo as the ‘lord’. Why he does that and what he means by it, is still a mystery.
Verdict
This episode sums up the entirety of this show, which is Jinwoo fighting very strong monsters, having insane plot armour and becoming stronger than everyone else.
Yes, it does not have a pathbreaking plot or some groundbreaking character development, but what it does have is endless entertainment. So I would urge you all to just watch it and judge it from its entertainment value alone.
