Khloe Kardashian is proving she’s the most thoughtful mom after a new revelation. She has finally told the world why she let ex Tristan Thompson meet their baby, True, despite him cheating.
After giving birth to her first baby, True Thompson, Khloe Kardashian decided to let her baby father, Tristan Thompson, into the delivery room straight away. She had one thing on her mind, though.
Khloe Kardashian let Tristan meet their baby
Khloe Kardashian has revealed she let Tristan Thompson into the delivery room as soon as their daughter, True, was born. They were on-and-off at the time, but he’d been hit with a major cheating scandal.
It was in 2018 when Khloe found out Tristan had been unfaithful with another woman. She gave birth 48 hours after finding out, which quickly became a very public scandal, and was all over headlines.
She said on her Khloe in Wonderland podcast, “It was my first baby, and I said, ‘I do, and we’re all going to pretend,’ because of course I had to have all my siblings in the room and my mom.”
The Kardashians star added, “I said, ‘Let’s all act like this didn’t happen, because my daughter’s going to see this home footage one day, and I don’t want her to ever see…’ I was thinking for my daughter, True.”
She felt ‘numb’ after giving birth
Khloe admits she felt “numb” after giving birth to True, because of all the chaos going on in her dating life. She told guest Mel Robbins, “I get sad if I ever see myself [back then], because I can tell I’m blank.”
She added, “It’s an out of body experience. I just went into autopilot, and I just went into, ‘I’m not here.’ I was not present, but my body was there. I gave birth, I did what I had to do, but it was for her.”
Khloe added, “I was like, ‘For her memories, I want her to know her dad was in the room.’” Cameras were there to capture the moment, but when they switched off, she asked Tristan to leave.
“When it was done, he went along, because I was like, ‘I can’t talk to you,’” Khloe explained, “but [only] when I put my home camera down. I made sure to do what I needed to do for her.”
“I had a brand new baby, and I definitely isolated,” she went on. “I never left my house for a few months, I was just with her… I’d built this little cocoon for her and I, and it was the most magical experience.”
